Event Integrity is a Colorado limited liability corporation. Event Integrity is responsible for the processing of your collected personal information and data. By interacting with Event Integrity through the use of our websites, mobile applications, products, and “Services,” as defined in our Terms of Service, you consent to the use of information that is collected or submitted as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference. We may change or add to this Privacy Policy, so we encourage you to review it periodically.

A. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide better Services to our users and so we can make decisions about ways to make our community better, including through use of the Event Integrity Task Force (“EITF”) (https://www.eventintegrity.com/task-force-about). When you interact with Event Integrity through our Services and websites, we may collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) and other information from you, as further described below. ​ 

 

  • Information You Give Us: We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information. Personal information may include, for example: your name, age or date of birth, postal address, ZIP code, Social Security Number or FEIN, email address, telephone number, wireless device address, text message address, screen name or username, photograph or photographs you may provide to us, geolocation information, payment card and other payment information, event dates and related information, occupation, industry, personal interests, hobbies, and demographic information. We collect Personal Data via our website in a variety of circumstances, including when you contact us with inquiries, respond to one of our surveys, register for access to our Services, or use certain Services. 

    By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. By providing Personal Data in connection with use of our websites or Services, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of Event Integrity and any authorized third-parties like Mighty Networks, Wild Apricot, AWS, Google, Microsoft, Wix, WordPress, Type Form, Go Daddy, Cognito Forms, UseLoom, Mail Chimp, HubSpot, Meetup, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Medium, Agile CRM, Hootsuite, or our advertising, storage, digital, or management partners from time to time. 

 

  • Information that is Publicly Available: By applying through our certification process or by using our Services (as defined in our Terms of Service), we may collect and use publicly-available information about you or your company for marketing, promotional, and other reasonably commercial purposes, as detailed in our Terms of Service (“TOS”).

  • Contact Information: When you enter your information through the use of our websites or Services, you enter it willingly into our software and agree to all Terms and Conditions of participation. We will collect and store the information you populate, regardless of whether you pay for Services, to include: your contact email address, name, address, website URL, phone number and other metadata assigned to you; we obtain this data you enter to create your profile, screen and verify your information submitted against a combination of public and private data for truthfulness, suggest existing profiles for you to connect with and invite new persons to the Services. If you activate any third-party email or other integration services on your account, you consent to abide by our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

  • Other Information: Non-Identifiable Data: When you interact with Event Integrity through the website or our Services, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. Event Integrity may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Event Integrity’s affiliates, agents or service providers. The Services may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our website, the number of visitors to each page of our website, and the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.

  • Aggregated Personal Data: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the website and our Services, Event Integrity may conduct research on its customer demographics, interests, and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us, including information available in vendor contracts and related proposals that you may upload. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and Event Integrity may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents, and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. Event Integrity may also disclose aggregated user statistics to describe our Services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third-parties for other lawful purposes.

  • Location Information: Our Services and third-parties that are integrated into our website may collect and use your actual location information (for example, by using the GPS on your mobile device, IP address, and other sensors that may provide Event Integrity with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points, and cell towers, or when you submit a photo or other material that may contain geographic information in its metadata) to provide certain functionality for our website and Services. We may also use your location information in an aggregate way, as described above in the "Aggregated Personal Data" section.

  • Website Usage Information: We may allow third-party service providers to use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Services. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use our website and enhance your experience when you use the Services. We also utilize services with Mighty Networks, Wild Apricot, AWS, Microsoft, Zoom, UseLoom, Wix, Go Daddy, Cognito Forms, Mail Chimp, HubSpot, Meetup, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Medium, Agile CRM, Soci, which may be changed or updated from time to time in the normal course of business, and each collects similar information described above, but will use it in their individual way. We do not own or control any of these sites. Please visit them to view their individual privacy policies.

The above tracking technologies may be deployed by us or our Service providers on our behalf. By using our website, you agree to our use of the above tracking technologies. You may refuse to supply Personal Data or opt out of data tracking by contacting us at the information below, with the understanding it may prevent you from using our websites, the Services, or engaging in certain website- or Event Integrity-related activities.

B. Do Not Track Disclosure 

  

Our third-party partners, such as ad networks, web analytics companies, and social media and networking platforms, collect information about your online activities over time and across our websites and other online properties. These third-parties may not change their tracking practices in response to “Do Not Track” or “DNT” settings in your web browser, and we do not obligate these parties to honor DNT settings. Information about our third-party partners’ privacy policies can be found above under "Website Usage Information."

C. How We Use Information We Collect

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our Services, to develop new Services, and to protect Event Integrity and our users. We also use this information to offer you tailored content, like giving you more relevant search results and ads. We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our Services. For example, by saving your location, we will be able to tailor the available Services to your location. We use user contact information (name, email, address) for educational and promotional purposes, such as sharing offers and new techniques and other educational information with you. In addition, Event Integrity uses certain publicly-available photos, marks, logos, company and biographical information, and other of your publicly available commercial content in accord with our Terms of Service to market and promote businesses or applicants, and for other commercially reasonable activities. 

 

Event Integrity uses the Personal Data and other information you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data for the reason it was provided. For instance, when you contact Event Integrity, we keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may also use your email address to inform you about our Services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements. Also, if you provide Personal Data to obtain access to the website or Services, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to such Services and to monitor your use of such Services. As explained above, Event Integrity and its affiliates may also use your Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Services to help us improve the content and functionality of the Services, to better understand our users, and to improve the Services. Event Integrity and its affiliates may also use this information to contact you in the future to tell you about Services we believe will be of interest to you. If we do so, each marketing communication we send will contain instructions permitting the recipient to "opt-out" of receiving future marketing communications. In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future marketing communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below.

We may also use contact information to suggest connections and to enable you to invite others to use our Services and connect with you. It is your choice whether to invite someone to our Services. For clarity, if an invitee accepts the invitation, then the invitee shall be subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. We may also receive personal data about you when others import or sync their contact information with our website or Services.

If Event Integrity intends on using any Personal Data in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time at which the Personal Data is collected. 

 

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by law. For example, we keep your account profile information for as long as you keep your Event Integrity account, but we may keep your order history longer to comply with legal obligations.   

 

D. Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information

Event Integrity does not sell your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third-parties without further notice to you, as discussed above and set forth below:

  • Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, acquisition, dissolution, liquidation, or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred or affected assets. We reserve the right to transfer all Personal Data in our possession to a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other sale of all or a portion of our assets. Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, the use and disclosure of all transferred Personal Data will be subject to this Privacy Policy, or to a new privacy policy upon notice to you and where you do not affirmatively opt-out. Personal Data submitted or collected after a transfer may be subject to a new privacy policy of the successor entity.

  • Agents, Consultants and Related Third-Parties: Event Integrity, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, maintaining databases, analytics, and processing payments. When we employ another entity to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.

  • Legal Requirements: Event Integrity may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with any applicable law, legal process, judgment, order, or enforceable governmental request; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Event Integrity, including the enforcement of applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our Services or the public, including the detection, prevention, or to otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; or, (iv) protect against legal liability.

A cookie is a string of information a website stores on a visitor’s computer, which the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Event Integrity uses cookies and other technologies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us or third-parties that use our Services, as described in this Privacy Policy. Examples of information provided by cookies include but are not limited to: pages you visit, ads you click on, type of browser/device/hardware, purchase information, IP based geographic location, and search terms.  

 

Your browser can help you manage cookies. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings on each browser and device that you use. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser “Help” menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you may not have access to many features of our websites and Services.  

 

You can also adjust your advertising preferences on your mobile device at the device level. For example, to adjust your advertising preferences in iOS, visit Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking. To adjust your advertising preferences in Android, visit Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of interest-based ads.   

 

F. Your Choices; Right to Manage or Delete Content

People have different privacy concerns. Our goal at Event Integrity is to be clear about what information we collect so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used. You can visit our websites without providing any Personal Data. However, if you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to fully use the website or use the Services. You may also set your browser to block all cookies, as explained above, including cookies associated with our Services, or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us. However, it’s important to remember that the website and the Services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. 

 

You have the right, in certain situations, to be forgotten, i.e., to have your Personal Data erased, to terminate any further dissemination of your Personal Data, and to have third-parties we work with cease processing your Personal Data. You also have the right to request: (i) access to your Personal Data; (ii) an electronic copy of your Personal Data (portability); (iii) correction of your Personal Data if it is incomplete or inaccurate; or (iii) deletion or restriction of your Personal Data in certain circumstances provided by applicable law. Where we have obtained your consent for the processing of your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you have a request regarding your Personal Data that cannot be fulfilled from your account settings, please contact us at the information below. You can also request removal of posted content on our websites, subject to the Exclusions listed below, but please note that removal may not encompass all possible locations, for example, back-ups or sharing by other users initiated prior to removal. Upon a request, we will provide your Personal Data to you as reasonably possible and free of charge. We will do so promptly, and in no event within one month after receipt of your request. 

 

G. Exclusions

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by Event Integrity other than Personal Data collected through our Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any unsolicited information you provide, including but is not limited to information posted to any public areas of our websites, in relation to the EITF, or through our Services, such as forums, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, "Unsolicited Information"). All Unsolicited Information is deemed to be non-confidential, and Event Integrity is free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

H. Children Under the Age of 13

Event Integrity does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the website or the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data on the website without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to Event Integrity through the website or the Services, please contact us at the information below and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our websites and Services. Our websites and Services may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Event Integrity (the "Other Sites"). The links from the website and Services do not imply that Event Integrity endorses or has reviewed the Other Sites. You should contact and review those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

J. Integrating Social Networking Services

One of the special features of our websites and Services is that it allows you share your social networking websites like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter ("Social Networking Websites"). As part of such integration, the Social Networking Websites will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to the Social Networking Websites, and we will use, store, and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, please remember that the way Social Networking Websites use, store, and disclose your information is governed by the policies of those third-parties, and Event Integrity shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any Social Networking Websites that may be enabled through our websites or Services.

You may also have the option of posting your Event Integrity Services activities to Social Networking Websites when you access content through the Services (for example, you may post to Facebook that you performed an activity on our website or through our Services). You acknowledge that if you choose to use this feature, your friends, followers, and subscribers on any Social Networking Websites you have enabled will be able to view such activity.

We have no liability for disclosure of your information due to errors or unauthorized acts of third-parties during or after transmission. If you create an account on our websites, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for any activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account.

If you sign up for a trial participation, print mailing/electronic mailing list, appointment scheduling, or other Service with us, you may be asked for your email address, or initially contacted at your email address provided through a public domain. This information is used to keep you informed of any changes in your status with our company or to occasionally pass on important information about our Services or offerings. If you are using or have signed up to become a part of our mailing list through utilization of an opt-in feature, your information is used to keep in contact with you related to company or industry news, special offerings, upcoming events, or announcements from our company. We maintain a strict 'no-spam' policy. Your email address, personal information, or mailing address will not be sold or rented to a third-party. If, at any time, you wish to be removed from our distribution, customer, participation, or opt-in list, simply contact us at info@eventintegrity.com. Removals are usually completed within 24 hours. We strive to protect information transmitted, collected, stored, or received on behalf of Event Integrity.
